Back to Black – Summer’s Gothic Goddess look!

The J’adore Tresor street style team have been having so much fun taking photos of you guys, rocking the latest trends in the scorching heat. By far our favourite one, is a deviation from the monochrome trend – a complete commitment to black.

Black cover

We weren’t expecting it to be honest but we must say, people are wearing it well! Usually, at any sign of sun we are dragging anything white or bright coloured out of the depths of our wardrobe to enhance even the tiniest bit of tan we’ve managed to get. But this summer has be different, we’ve seen more and more people embracing a gothic summer look and going for an all black outfit.

Our gut instinct tells us that wearing all black in the blazing sun is a mistake, “it will attract the heat” we say, but are we wrong? If we think about it properly, the joy of black is that it always looks super-chic, after all, that perfect little black dress sees us through all the seasons. Also, the best thing about the all black trend is that it isn’t difficult to achieve and even for the most ardent colour super fan, you can add a touch of black with nails or jewellery.

The high street is fully geared up to arm you with appropriate black clothing for summer (and of course Tresor Paris has a full range of black jewellery, some of which is in the July Extravaganza!)

Finish Black

For those of you that love the full black look, go for it! It looks incredible, we loved all our street style stars and this lovely lady on Oxford Street (London) is definitely our winner! We love the simplicity of the black shorts, slogan t-shirt and black bag paired with the tailored white waistcoat, which really lifts the casual summer outfit and is perfectly complimented by the statement sunglasses!
